Arianna Rebecca Firth originally trained as a dancer with a full scholarship from the age of 13 at Italia Conti. At 16, she discovered her vocal potential and subsequently won a scholarship to the Junior Royal Academy of Music. She studied at the GSMD for her Undergraduate degree under Professor Susan McCulloch, graduating in 2015. She then continued her studies at Trinity Laban as an Eva Malpass Scholar and Kathleen Roberts Vocal Scholar on the Masters programme. She graduated her Masters with Distinction in the pandemic year of 2020 and studied under Sarah Pring and coach Rob Bottriell.
Credits include: making her debut alongside the King’s newly-appointed Master of Music, Errollyn Wallen, in a recital for International Women's Day live on BBC Radio 3, and chorus in Mahler’s 2nd Symphony with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican, (and live on BBC Radio 3). Masterclasses with Susan Bullock CBE, James Clutton, Sarah Walker CBE, Prof. Rudolf Piernay, John Evans, Lada Valesova, Prof. Susan McCulloch and Amanda Roocroft. Roles have included Belle Fezziwig, A Christmas Carol (Thea Musgrave), Manon, Manon, Alice Ford, Falstaff, and La Fée, Cendrillon. Finalist in the Elisabeth Schumann Lieder Duo Competiton, and semi-finalist in Trinity’s prestigious Soloists’ Competition. She worked with Iain Burnside for a French song project at the GSMD, and with composers at the Guildhall School for Voiceworks in association with the Wigmore Hall. She has also worked with British Youth Opera. A talented actress, Arianna also performed the role of solo actress for Dominic Murcott’s Dear Sister, at the Albany Theatre Deptford, and was selected to work with directors Christopher Luscombe and Stephen Unwin with British Youth Opera. As a dancer, she also worked with the Acting Department in Schwartz’s Rags, (dir. Martin Connor, and Olivier Award-winning choreographer Bill Deamer).
Arianna is greatly passionate about teaching and nurturing the next generation of performers. She teaches internationally for The Vocal Coaches and D&B Academy of Performing Arts. She is also Teacher of Music and Drama at Trinity School, Sevenoaks. Student successes have included: winning places and scholarships at Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Division, Royal Academy of Music Junior Academy Musical Theatre, Sylvia Young Theatre School, Tring Park, Hurtwood House, Emil Dale Associates, BIMM (London), The BRIT School, D&B Academy, Reynolds Performing Arts, and Goldsmith's, (UoL). Pupils and former pupils have appeared as lead roles in West End productions of Les Misérables, School of Rock, Wind in the Willows, A Little Princess, Bugsy Malone (UK Tour) and Annie (UK Tour). They have also performed at prestigious venues in New York, (such as Feinstein’s 54 Below), and Birmingham’s Symphony Hall, to name but a few. Currently students have a 96% Distinction rate in ABRSM, Trinity and LCM exams. She has given masterclasses for EWAI and sat on an International Jury for a competition at the Royal College of Music. Arianna is in very high demand as a vocal teacher and coach. Alongside her QTS, she also won the award for ‘Most Exceptional Teacher’ in West Kent and Sussex in 2024. She attributes her warm, positive, dedicated and determined attitude to her success rate.
